FAQs

Most frequent questions and answers

Depending on the number of items you order, you will either be asked to enter your engraving text when you add to your basket, or after purchase, you will be emailed a spreadsheet with a list of the items that you ordered. Simply fill in the engraving text for each one and email it back to us.

We use different processes depending on which process has the best effect on a particular product. These include:

Rotary/Diamond Drag Engraving – Rotary engraving is the process by which a spindle driven tool cuts into the surface of the material to a set depth, carving a groove or character into the surface. Alternatively in softer metals, a diamond tipped cutting tool drags or routs the groove into the surface of the award (without using a spinning cutter).

Sand Blasting – Sandblasting is the process of blowing an abrasive media onto a surface within a contained, pressurised system. By masking the area, artwork can be etched onto just about any surface. Commonly we use this method for engraving stone, etching glass, crystal and stainless steel.

UV Colour Printing – On some (but not all) corporate awards we’re able to use full colour UV printing. Specialty inks are laid down directly to the surface of the award, which are then cured by a UV light for a bright, textured and durable finish. Awards which can be colour printed are marked with a rainbow banner. We charge a small amount extra to cover the higher production cost of this process, as detailed on the product page for suitable products.

We undertake all our engraving in house. We can incorporate logos of all types. We have a number of production methods for engraving your logo or crest including rotary engraving, sandblasting, sublimation and colour printing in full colour.
